Ken Griffey Jr. says that rumors of a return to the Mariners are just that, and that the seriousness of the rumors is news to him.

"We don't know what we're doing next year with respect to Seattle. It's all rumors," Griffey said Thursday after a round of golf in a Pro-Am.

Reports on Thursday insisted that Seattle and Griffey were very close to terms on a pact.
