The three-year, $54 million contract the Phillies signed Ryan Howard to on Sunday will allow them to trade the first baseman if they are unable to renegotiate a long-term deal after the 2010 season. The team would have to pay him just $1 million if he is traded before Nov. 1, 2010, while he is set to make $20 million during the 2011 season. However, Howard, isn't looking past the next three years. "I'm happy to have this done and to know that I'll be in Philadelphia for at least another 3 years," he said in a statement. "Both sides are happy and now I'm just focused on getting the season started and having fun."
