Free-agent reliever Joe Beimel is still interested in signing with the Rockies, according to agent Joe Sroba.

Sroba's claim came on Thursday, a day after Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd discounted the idea of signing Beimel.

O'Dowd admitted he has maintained contact with Sroba, but didn't think Beimel was interested in Colorado.
