Despite a claim made by Dodgers manager Joe Torre during an interview with Larry King, his current contract doesn't include a provision that prevents him from writing a book about his time with the team.

A source close to the Dodgers, speaking on the condition of anonymity, cleared the air while talking with the Los Angeles Daily News.
