The Cubs traded reliever Michael Wuertz to the Athletics for a pair of minor leagues, and starter Rich Hill to the Orioles for for a player to be named later on Monday.

In the Oakland deal, the Chicago received outfielder Rich Robnett and infielder Justin Sellers.
