The Red Sox reportedly want free-agent catcher Jason Varitek to make a decision soon on whether or not he'll accept a one-year deal that includes an option for a second year.

Varitek is rumored to have focused exclusively on remaining in Boston.

According to multiple sources, Varitek has an offer of a one-year contract worth between approximately $3 million and $5 million.
