Reliever Mark Lowe has his eye on the role of closer for the Mariners this season.

"That is the ultimate experience for a relief pitcher," said Lowe. "It's an unbelievable feeling to walk off the mound after getting the final out."

Seattle's closer job is wide open heading into Spring Training next month with J.J. Putz out of town.
