The Mariners and pitcher Erik Bedard have agreed to terms on a one-year deal that will allow them to avoid salary arbitration.

The deal is Bedard's second straight one-year pact.

Bedard will be guaranteed $7.75 million. He could bump that to $8.35 million by pitching at least 205 innings.
