Mets' GM Omar Minaya believes that the team's chances of landing another starting pitcher this offseason stand at "50/50".

"You're never too confident," Minaya said Monday. "You never know. The bottom line is, you're in negotiations. Clubs all need pitching. I'd say it's 50-50."

The Mets would like to sign either Derek Lowe or Oliver Perez, and Minaya acknowledged, "We do have some offers out there." Randy Wolf is a another option, and Pedro Martinez is "one of the guys still under consideration."
