There is some belief that Rangers' president Nolan Ryan might look to bring former manager Bobby Valentine and pitching coach Tom House back to the organization.

The move would be more likely if current manager Ron Washington doesn't get the team into contention this coming season.

Valentine has been told that his lucrative contract to manage in Japan won't be extended beyond 2009, which makes him a candidate to manage in the majors in 2010, if not before. Valentine says "when someone calls in the middle of the season, I can talk to them."
