World Series MVP Cole Hamels is expected to cash in on his 2008 success in the coming days as arbitration kicks off in Major League Baseball.

Hamels won't be a free agent until 2012, but the Phillies could look to lock up their ace pitcher for longer.

The right-hander earned $500,000 last season.

RealGM Note: According to the Reina Value, a system used to determine what a player deserves to make based on his production, Hamels should have made $15.7 million in 2008.
