Penny May Bolster Boston's Rotation

MLB.com - The Red Sox were reportedly close to adding Brad Penny to their pitching rotation on Sunday.

Citing a Major League source, FoxSports.com reported that the right-hander was close to agreeing to a one-year contract with Boston.

Penny, a Dodger since 2004, was limited to 19 appearances and 17 starts last season by a lingering shoulder injury that required three stints on the disabled list. [READ]
