Crosby Clears Outright Waivers

MLB.com - Athletics'' shortstop Bobby Crosby has cleared outright waivers, which means he'll remain with the team for now.

A Major League official confirmed that Crosby had not been claimed by another MLB organization by Friday's deadline.

Crosby has one year remaining on the five-year, $12.75 million contract extension he signed on April 5, 2005, and he will receive $5.25 million next season. [READ]
