| 19th December, 2008 - 5:27 pm | Los Angeles Times - The Angels have heard the rumors that the Red Sox might be out of the race to sign Mark Teixeira, and are making it known that they are still a contender.
Los Angeles general manager Tony Reagins had not been informed of any decision by Teixeira as of Thursday evening.
"It just means he's pursuing his options and will make a decision at some point," Reagins said. "Until that happens, we're still in the game. . . . We made a substantial offer, and they have an opportunity to accept." [READ] |
