The Cubs are still trying to sign free-agent Milton Bradley to bolster their lineup but aren't in position to give him the type of deal that he'd prefer.

Chicago GM Jim Hendry said the club is exploring trade options to fortify their lineup in the event they can't land Bradley.

"There are always different ways to go," Hendry said, adding he has heard from other clubs about trade possibilities since the winter meetings ended last Thursday.
