Source: Furcal To Sign With Braves

FOX Sports - Free-agent shortstop Rafael Furcal has reportedly agreed to sign with the Braves, in a surprising turn of events.

Furcal, who played for Atlanta earlier in his career, chose the Braves over the Athletics, who were pursuing him aggressively.

Oakland is believed to have made the high offer for Furcal — four years in the $40 million range, according to major-league sources. [READ]
