Boston Makes Offer To Teixeira

MLB.com - The Red Sox have reportedly made an offer to free-agent first baseman Mark Teixeira, although they continue to operate in secrecy.

The Boston Herald reported in its Tuesday editions that the Red Sox have extended an offer to Teixeira, which is believed to be the longest and richest in the seven-year history of the team's current ownership group.

Though the newspaper didn't cite its source, it stated that the offer is "believed to be for at least eight years." [READ]
