Having lost out on A.J. Burnett, the Braves are reportedly making a push for Japanese pitcher Kenshin Kawakami.

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported on Saturday that the Braves are interested in the 33-year-old, who has pitched 11 seasons for the Chunichi Dragons in the Japanese Central League.

Kawakami, a right-hander, is a free agent who won't require any compensation or posting fee from whichever Major League team signs him.

The Red Sox, Angels, Dodgers, and Orioles are also reportedly interested.
