The Dodgers initially offered free-agent Manny Ramirez a two-year deal worth $45 million, and it is believed that almost a month later a third year could be offered.

Los Angeles owner Frank McCourt is said to be open to guaranteeing the slugger a third year, but that won't necessarily satisfy the demands of agent Scott Boras.
