Ibanez, Phils Agree To 3-Year, $30M Deal
12th December, 2008 - 8:47 am
ESPN - The Phillies have agreed to terms with free-agent outfielder Raul Ibanez on a three-year deal reportedly worth $30 million.

Ibanez, 36, will become the Philadelphia's new every-day left fielder, and his signing means the Phillies no longer will pursue incumbent Pat Burrell, who is also a free agent.

Ibanez had drawn significant interest from a number of teams, including the Cubs, Mets, Angels and Braves.
