Cubs Could Send Jason Marquis To New York?

SI.com - The Mets and Cubs are discussing a trade that would send Jason Marquis home to New York.

Marquis, a Staten Island native, would fill a need in the Mets' rotation at a reasonable cost. The Cubs are offering to pay some of Marquis' $9.5-million 2009 salary to defray the cost. The Mets could also consider sending reliever Scott Schoeneweis to the Cubs to further offset Marquis' salary. [READ]
