The Twins are in the market for a third baseman and have inquired about Seattle's Adrian Beltre.

Minnesota had discussions with the Mariners about Beltre last offseason but felt it would be too expensive to acquire him.

Beltre, who made $19 million last season, will make $12 million in 2009.

The Twins could also target Colorado's Garrett Atkins.
