GM: What The Heck Is Furcal Doing?

SI.com - The rejection by free agent shortstop Rafael Furcal of a $35 million, four-year A's offer has really surprised many in the baseball world. "What the heck is he doing?" one GM from another team said, before adding, "Maybe he just didn't like Oakland."

The Giants are now out as they have signed Edgar Renteria. The Cubs have been said to be a possibility, but reports out of Chicago suggest that a left-handed bat is the primary focus now. The Braves would have interest, but probably not until they traded their own shortstop, Yunel Escobar. [READ]
