Phillies Consider Alternatives To Moyer

Philadelphia Inquirer - The Phillies want Jamie Moyer back,\ but are looking at other options with contract negotiations moving along slowly.

The Boston Globe reported Thursday that the Phillies had made an offer to free-agent righthander Derek Lowe, but the team wouldn't confirm the report.

"He's not the only free-agent pitcher that we've had discussions with," general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said. "There have been plenty of them." [READ]
