Nine Teams Interested In Griffey

Seattle PI - The final year in Ken Griffey's contract was bought out for $4 million by the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox, his teams of last season.

Since then, according to his longtime agent Brian Goldberg, three National League and six American League teams have made contact, including the Mariners.

"Somebody," he said by phone Tuesday, "is going to get a bargain." [READ]
