The Athletics brought free-agent shortstop Rafael Furcal and his wife to Oakland on Tuesday to discuss a possible deal.

Agent Paul Kinzer was also present at the meeting, according to FOX Sports.

The A's and Giants are thought to be the most serious suitors of the switch-hitting shortstop, who is looking for a four-year contract.
