Teixeira, Angels Could Affect Sabathia Deal

Newsday - The Angels have made it known that they would like to re-sign Mark Teixeira, but if the first baseman doesn't make a quick decision, Los Angeles could move onto CC Sabathia.

Angels' GM Tony Reagins said earlier this month that the team probably can't afford to sign both.

The Yankees offered Sabathia a six-year deal worth about $140 million on Nov. 14.

Teixeira is coveted by the Red Sox, Orioles, Nationals, and perhaps the Yankees, as well. [READ]
