Red Sox Make Offer To Japanese Amateur

MLB.com - The Red Sox have reportedly made a $6 million contract offer to Japanese pitcher Junichi Tazawa.

The source indicated that Tazawa, 22, met with Craig Shipley, Boston's vice president of international scouting, for nearly two hours recently.

It's not known if the offer is for a Major League or Minor League contract. [READ]
