Giants, A's Leading Furcal Sweepstakes

FOX Sports - The Giants and Athletics are reportedly leading the race to sign free-agent shortstop Rafael Furcal this offseason.

The Dodgers would like to retain Furcal, but the shortstop wants a four-year deal, something Los Angeles might be reluctant to give him.

"It's moving pretty fast," Dodgers' General Manager Ned Colletti said on Friday. "I don't know if we're going to be in it or not." [READ]
