Mets Keeping Contact With Ibañez, Phillies And Dodgers Also Interested

Newsday - The Mets continue to maintain communication with free agent Raul Ibañez, but they'll face competition.

The Phillies have expressed interest in Ibañez, who could replace free agent Pat Burrell.

As have the Dodgers, who could sign Ibañez if they can't retain Manny Ramirez, the Cubs, the Royals and the Mariners, with whom Ibañez spent the past five years. [READ]
