The defending-champion Rays are looking for a left-handed designated hitter and free agent Jason Giambi fits that bit perfectly.

Giambi will turn 38 in January and clearly won't command anywhere close to the $23 million he made in New York last season.

He hit 32 homers and drove in 96 runs last year, when he posted an on-base percentage of .373.
