Angels Want Other Teams To Bid On Teixeira First
18th November, 2008 - 12:32 pm
Los Angeles times - The Angels have yet to make an offer to first baseman Mark Teixeira or pitcher CC Sabathia, GM Tony Reagins said.

Although Teixeira is their top priority, the Angels appear to be waiting for agent Scott Boras to solicit bids from other clubs before presenting their bid, in the hope Teixeira will consider their offer in line with the market. The Angels are expected to present their offer shortly and ask for an answer within a short window.

The Angels are expected to offer Teixeira the first $100-million contract in franchise history. The Boston Red Sox,, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals are among other teams reportedly considering a bid on Teixeira. [READ]
