Yanks Sell Rasner's Rights To Japan

New York Times - Darrell Rasner will not return to the Yankees next season after the team sold his rights to the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of the Japanese Pacific League on Saturday.

"I just have to hope and pray that this is good for me and my family," Rasner said. "Having another kid, that kind of changes everything. I just think now's the time to try to do something and try to get the stability that I need for those guys."

Rasner made less than $400,000 last season and was not eligible for salary arbitration. [READ]
