The Cardinals are looking for help in the outfield and in their rotation, which could match them up well with the White Sox. Chicago general manager Ken Williams hasn't ruled out breaking up the team's core of Jermaine Dye, Jim Thome, and Paul Konerko. St. Louis could make an offer for Dye and perhaps Javier Vazquez, with an package including top outfield prospect Colby Rasmus. Williams appears to be eyeing trades rather than free agents. "I'm not concerned with the [free-agent] market," Williams said. "I'm more concerned with where we fit and how we fit with each club."
