Could Yankees Bring Pavano Back?

New York Daily News - The Yankees declined the 2009 option on the contract of pitcher Carl Pavano on Tuesday, but he reportedly could still pitch in pinstripes next season.

"[GM Brian] Cashman has definitely not closed the door on Pavano at all," a source said.

Cashman hinted that he could in fact bring Pavano back this winter.

"I'm not ruling anything out," Cashman said. "We have needs, so we'll have to go to the marketplace, be it through free agency or through trades, to fill those needs." [READ]
