Many baseball officials believe that the Braves are still the favorites to land Padres' starter Jake Peavy in a trade this winter.

Some find the belief to be surprising considering that the Braves won't trade top pitching prospect Tommy Hanson, the right-hander that Padres' GM Kevin Towers craves as the centerpiece in a trade.
