Commissioner Bud Selig claims that no World Series game will end early with a declared winner because of rain or any other condition under his watch.

He made the announcement at a new conference on Monday night when he revealed that he had suspended Game 5 because of rain.

"Well, I guess putting everything else aside, it's my judgment," Selig said. "I have to use my judgment. It's not a way to end a World Series. And I think I have enough authority, here, frankly, so that I'm not only on solid ground, I'm on very solid ground."
