The Boston Herald has reported that Red Sox players voted in September to give Manny Ramirez a two-thirds share of playoff money.

Ramirez played roughly two-thirds of the season with Boston before being dealt to Los Angeles minutes before the trade deadline at the end of July.

According to a source, the vote on Ramirez was divided. Meanwhile, Jason Bay was voted more than a one-third share, although it's unclear just how much he received.

"Some wanted him to be paid days," the source said according to the report. "It was obviously a somewhat sensitive subject with some guys, but we didn't spend too much time on it. After the vote, we moved on."
