Yanks Could Covet Peavy As Well

Newsday - A number of teams are expected to go after Jake Peavy if the Padres opt to trade him, and the Yankees could join the Red Sox as suitors.

San Diego GM Kevin Towers confirmed to Newsday that he will listen to offers for Peavy.

"Coming off 99 losses, we're going to a little bit of a younger core club," Towers said. "I guess it's worth at least exploring to see what he would bring back." [READ]
