Sexson Cut, Cabrera Sent To Minors

Bloomberg.com - The New York Yankees sent outfielder Melky Cabrera to the minor leagues and cut first baseman Richie Sexson.

Cabrera was hitting .115 this month and lost his starting job in center field. Sexson, whom the Yankees signed on July 17 after he was released by the Seattle Mariners, was batting .250 with one home run in 22 games for New York. [READ]
