Kip Wells' career with the Rockies ended on Saturday as the team will drop him from the roster to make room for Livan Hernandez, according to The Denver Post.
"You will find out officially tomorrow," Wells said.
He signed a one-year, $3.1 million deal with Colorado this winter in hopes of either being the fifth starter or a seven-inning reliever.
