"It?s gonna be a battle to the end I?m pretty sure," Drew told RealGM on Monday. "It?s a tough year, we?ve lot a lot of good talent in the league." Boston overtook Tampa Bay for the lead in the division on Sunday, the final day before the 2008 All-Star Game, and hold a half-game lead over the Rays heading into the first half. The Red Sox are 36-11 at home this season, but just 21-29 away from Fenway Park. "We have to figure out a way to play better on the road," Drew admitted. After struggling in his first season with the Red Sox in 2007, Drew has rebounded to become an All-Star this season. "Last September I felt like I had a good month and I wanted to carry that over to this year," he said. He also expressed excitement over taking the field in such a historic game. "There?s a lot of history in that stadium and with the new one going up next door, it?s going to be fun for me to be a part of this All-Star Game," Drew said. |
