Mark Mulder met with Cardinals' officials on Friday to have an MRI on his twice-repaired shoulder, according to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The results of the exam won't be known until at least Monday.

"Anxious is a good word," Manager Tony La Russa said. "We're anxious. Concerned. Any time (a pitcher) comes out after 16 pitches, I'm concerned. We'll get an answer soon enough. Might as well wait."

The MRI will help determine whether there continues to be structural issues with his left shoulder.
