Vanderbilt left-handed pitcher Mike Minor went 6.1 innings of four hit, shutout ball as Team USA beat Cuba 1-0. Missouri right-hander Kyle Gibson came on in relief and threw a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

Their next game will be on Tuesday, July 8 against the Netherlands' Antilles.
