Starting pitcher Mark Mulder will start for the Cardinals on Wednesday against the Phillies for the first time since last September, according to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
"He?s starter material, and we have a spot in the rotation," La Russa said Sunday. "He?s the guy who fits it best."
Mulder got a total of five outs in two appearances as a reliever for the Cardinals.
