Mets' second baseman Luis Castillo has landed on the disabled list with a strained left hip flexor, according to The New York Daily News.

The move was made before the team's game against the Cardinals on Thursday night.

The Mets promoted second baseman Argenis Reyes and outfielder Chris Aguila from Triple-A New Orleans in a related move.
