Cubs' third baseman Aramis Ramirez will miss the next three games as he tends to family matters back home in the Dominican Republic, according to The Chicago Sun-Times.

Ramirez asked for four days off but was told he could only take three. He will rejoin the team Thursday for the finale of a four-game series in San Francisco.

He struggled over the weekend, going 0-for-13, as he appeared distracted on the field.
