Cleveland's Martinez To Have Elbow Surgery

Indians catcher Victor Martinez will have surgery on his ailing right elbow and will miss at least six weeks of action, according to The Associated Press.

He was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, along with second baseman Josh Barfield.

"This is tough, very tough," said Martinez. "I want to play, especially with everything that has happened to this team. But it hurts bad."
