Johnny Damon went 6-for-6 for the Yankees on Saturday afternoon with the winning single against the Royals, according to The Associated Press.

He is the first Yankee to ever record a six-hit game at the Stadium.

"It was pretty amazing. Pretty exhausting," Damon said.

He hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth inning as New York rallied to win 12-11 after trailing by a run to begin the inning.

"I have had a couple of opportunities, but I never got the sixth. It was a perfect time," Damon said.
