Curt Schilling threw 25 pitches on Wednesday during his first mound session since he started feeling shoulder pain last winter, according to The Boston Herald.

?His complaint was that he threw only 22 strikes,? Red Sox Manager Terry Francona said of how the righty enjoyed the session.

"Schilling threw only fastballs," said Francona, "since we?re still in that arm-shoulder strengthening stage. But, justifiably, he was excited.?
